Biography
M. Yawar J. Qadri, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Emory University School of Medicine. A board certified pain management physician, Dr. Qadri is engaged in the treatment of chronic pain with a specific interest in cancer-related pain and complex pain states such as complex regional pain syndrome, pelvic pain, and nerve injury related pain. He is an expert in interventional treatment modalities such as nerve ablations, kyphoplasty, intrathecal targeted drug delivery, and electrical neuromodulation of the spinal cord or peripheral nerves. He collaborates with oncologists at Winship to treat patients with cancer suffering from chronic pain symptoms.
Dr. Qadri holds professional memberships with North American Neuromodulation Society and American Society of Anesthesiologists.
Education
Dr. Qadri received his MD from University of Alabama School of Medicine where he also earned his PhD in physiology and biophysics. He completed his fellowship in pain medicine at Duke University Medical Center, and completed his anesthesiology residency at University of North Carolina.
