Biography
Amit M. Saindane, MD, MBA, is Professor and Chair of the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences with a joint appointment in the Department of Neurosurgery of the Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Saindane also serves as Chief of Radiology for Emory Healthcare. He has previously served in key departmental roles including as vice chair of clinical affairs and director for the Division of Neuroradiology.
A board certified radiologist, Dr. Saindane specializes in brain, spine, and neurovascular imaging in neurological diseases. As a member of Emory Radiology's Division of Neuroradiology, he interfaces closely with the Departments of Neurosurgery, Neurology, Radiation Oncology, Ophthalmology, and Otolaryngology to provide expert image interpretation and aid in managing difficult clinical problems using advanced imaging techniques across Emory Healthcare sites. He has practiced with Emory Healthcare since 2008.
Education
Dr. Saindane received his Medical Degree from University of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his postdoctoral training with an internship at Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and also completing his residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in neuroradiology at New York University Medical Center in New York, New York. He completed his MBA at Emory University's Goizueta Business School in Atlanta, Georgia.
Research
Dr. Saindane's research focuses on the application of advanced magnetic resonance imaging techniques to improve understanding, diagnosis, and follow-up of neurological disorders, and he is widely regarded as an expert on the imaging of intracranial pressure disorders.
