Biography
Christopher Scharer, PhD, is an associate professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Scharer serves as scientific director for the Emory Integrated Genomics Core. The core is one of the Emory Integrated Core Facilities with joint support and oversight provided by Emory University School of Medicine and Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.

Research
Dr. Scharer's research focuses on the transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of the immune system. His lab uses genomics, traditional molecular biology, and cellular immunology to study the antibody response and mechanisms of immune memory.
