Biography
Jamil A. Shaikh, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at Emory University School of Medicine. A board certified interventional radiologist, Dr. Shaikh specializes in minimally invasive intervention for the treatment of prostate cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and infertility.
Dr. Shaikh is a member of the Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute.
Education
Dr. Shaikh received his MD from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, OH. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Rutgers Medical School - Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He completed his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.
Research
Dr. Shaikh's primary research interest is in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in advancing current imaging modalities as well as in the use of AI and novel image guided therapies to better optimize and treat patients. He is also interested in the role interventional oncology and immunotherapy plays in treating patients with cancer.
