Biography
Jennifer Stevens, PhD, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine.
Dr. Stevens is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute.
Education
Dr. Stevens received her PhD in cognitive and developmental psychology from Emory University, where she also completed her post doctorate in psychiatry.
Research
Dr. Stevens is initiating studies to identify risk factors for PTSD follow a cancer diagnosis and treatment in African-American women visiting the Grady Avon Breast Center. This research will focus on biological risk factors such as inflammation and sympathetic nervous system activation.
Publications
Dr. Stevens is on the editorial board of Neuropsychopharmacology.
