Biography

Stephen M. Szabo, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at the Emory University School of Medicine. Board certified in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine, Dr. Szabo practices general medical oncology and specializes in breast and gastrointestinal cancers, and blood disorders. He began practicing with Emory Healthcare in May 2015.

Prior to joining Emory, Dr. Szabo worked in private practice for 14 years.

Dr. Szabo is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Education

Dr. Szabo received his MD from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. His postdoctoral training included an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and a Fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.
