Anusha Vallurupalli, MBBS, is assistant professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. A board certified oncologist, Dr. Vallurupalli practices general medical oncology and hematology with a focus on treating hematological malignancies. She is a member of the community oncology team at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University and treats patients at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital. Prior to joining Emory in 2023, Dr. Vallurupalli was an attending and on the faculty at Oregon Health Sciences University's Knight Cancer Institute.
Dr. Vallurupalli's professional affiliations include American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and American College of Physicians.
Dr. Vallurupalli completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Andhra Medical College in AP, India. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, and a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she was chief fellow in her final year.
Dr. Vallurupalli has extensive prior experience with clinical trials, mainly early phase clinical trials. She has done translational and retrospective studies in hematological malignancy patients, specifically lymphoma.
