Biography

Dr. Vasquez began practicing with Emory Healthcare in 2009 and has been board certified in radiology since 1994.  Dr. Vasquez is currently serving on his second six-year term as a member of the Stereotactic Accreditation Committee for the American College of Radiology (ACR) and was inducted as a fellow in the ACR in May of 2013.  His clinical interests in breast imaging are in breast interventional procedures, specifically stereotactic vacuum-assisted core biopsies.  Dr. Vasquez’s other interests are in healthcare efficiency, process evaluation design, and medical leadership training.  He has served as a facilitator in the Department’s Radiology Leadership Institute and as a presenter in the Radiology Service Excellence Program.  As director of the Division of Community Radiology Specialists for Emory Johns Creek Hospital, Dr. Vasquez serves a vital role in the relationship with the non-Emory clinical providers in the Emory Integrated Healthcare Network.

Education

Dr. Vasquez attended West Virginia University School of Medicine.  He completed his internship at the Medical College of Wisconsin and his residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.  After, Dr. Vasquez finished a fellowship at Northwestern University Memorial Hospital.
