J. Trad Wadsworth, MD, FACS, is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at Emory University School of Medicine and Vice Chairman, Clinical Affairs in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Emory Healthcare. He joined the Emory faculty in 2009. In addition, he serves on the Robotic Surgery Committee of Emory Healthcare to develop credentialing and quality standards for surgery with this newly applied technology.
Dr. Wadsworth attended medical school at the University of South Florida and completed his six-year internship and residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School and his two-year Head and Neck Oncologic and Microvascular Reconstruction Surgery Fellowship at the University of Washington School of Medicine in 2001.
Dr. Wadsworth has received numerous awards and honors including the Gary L. Schechter, MD Memorial Faculty Teaching Award, America's Top Doctors, and Best Doctors of America.
Dr. Wadsworth's research focus is on the proteomic analysis of head and neck cancers, reconstruction of head and neck cancer defects, in vivo and in vitro tumor modeling, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and clinical trials for both head and neck malignancies and thyroid malignancies.
