Biography

Xin (Cynthia) Wu, MD, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. A board certified neuroradiologist, Dr. Wu’s major clinical and research interests include head and neck cancer imaging, CT and ultrasound guided head and neck procedures, imaging of the skull base and cranial nerves, and MRI sequence and quality improvement.

Education

Dr. Wu received her MD from the University of Pennsylvania Perlman School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed her Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at New York University in New York City, New York, and a Fellowship in Neuroradiology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in San Francisco, California.

Research

Dr. Wu's major research interests include application of advanced MR techniques to head and neck tumor imaging and cranial nerve imaging, imaging delineation of rare and unconventional head and neck cancer spread patterns, as well as characterization of head and neck postoperative findings that may mimic disease. She is also interested in MRI sequence and quality improvement especially as applied to imaging of the head and neck.
