Biography

Dan Yan, PhD, is a Research Instructor in the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine.

Dr. Yan is a member of the Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute. She holds professional memberships with American Association for Cancer Research and American Society of Virology.

Education

Dr. Yan received her MD and her PhD from Tongji Medical College at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, China. She completed her post-doctoral training with a fellowship in tumor immunology at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University followed by another fellowship in the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine.

Research

Dr. Yan's research aims to identify small molecules that can sensitize MerTK inhibitor to treat non-small cell lung cancer and leukemia.

Publications

Dr. Yan is published in a number of peer-reviewed journals and serves on the editorial board for Results in Immunology.
