Biography

Melinda L. Yushak, MD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. A board certified medical oncologist, Dr. Yushak's clinical focus is in treating patients with melanoma and sarcoma. She joined the clinical staff at Winship Cancer Institute as a practicing physician in 2015. 

Education

Dr. Yushak received her Medical Degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont. Prior to earning her doctorate, Dr. Yushak obtained her Master of Public Health degree from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Her postgraduate medical training included a residency in the Department of Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts and a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven.

Research

Dr. Yushak's research interests include predictive bio-markers and implications of genetic testing.
