Dr. Zelnak specializes in the treatment of breast cancer and is part of the multidisciplinary team at the Glenn Family Breast Center at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.

Dr. Zelnak is well respected in the medical community and has been invited to speak at multiple national conferences on the subject of breast cancer, including early stage, triple-negative, and metastatic breast cancer. Dr. Zelnak also has multiple publications in the area of breast cancer research. Dr. Zelnak is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology.


Dr. Zelnak received her Bachelor of Science with Highest Distinction with Highest Honors in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She then earned her Medical Degree, Cum Laude from Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Zelnak completed her internal medicine residency at the Emory University School of Medicine. Following her internal medicine residency, Dr. Zelnak continued with her clinical training in medical oncology. She completed her hematology and medical oncology fellowship at the Winship Cancer Institute at Emory University.  She received her Masters of Science in Clinical Research from the Emory University School of Public Health.


Dr. Zelnak’s research focuses on breast cancer in the areas of current clinical research including neoadjuvant chemotherapy for early-stage breast cancer, novel therapies for triple negative breast cancer (estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, and Her2neu receptor negative).
