Biography
Jun Zhou, PhD, is Associate Professor in the Division of Medical Physics of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. An ABR board certified medical physicist, Dr. Zhou serves as lead physicist at the Emory Proton Therapy Center.
Education
Dr. Zhou earned his PhD from Tsinghua University in China. He completed his postdoctoral training as a research associate in diagnostic radiologic physics at State University of New York in Stony Brook, New York and as research postdoctoral fellow in therapeutic radiologic physics at Columbia University in New York, New York.
Research
Dr. Zhou's research is focused on proton treatment planning, proton stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), proton arc therapy, proton imaging, and image-guided adaptive radiotherapy.
