Biography

Michelle Tooson, RN, BSN, OCN, is a nurse navigator at Winship Cancer Institute working with malignant hematology patients. Ms. Tooson has experience in medical/surgical nursing, perioperative nursing, utilization review, and case/disease management. She transitioned to the outpatient oncology setting at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in 2014 as a Care Manager for two years providing patient education on solid tumor and hematology malignancies, as well as treatment therapies and symptom management. Since 2016, she has been an integral part of the malignant hematology and bone marrow transplant teams at Winship, providing outstanding care to all new patients.

Education

Ms. Tooson graduated in 2001 from The University of Alabama with a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing. She is also an Oncology Certified Nurse.
