Biography

Karen Mellott is a licensed clinical social worker and has over 18 years of social work experience, including hospital, community-based, and psychiatric settings.

Throughout her career, Ms. Mellott has been passionate about helping patients navigate the healthcare system, get connected with resources, and cope with difficult situations. At Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University's Clifton campus, she works with the Bone Marrow Transplant Program and medical oncology multidisciplinary clinics.

She has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2001 and is a member of the Georgia Social Work Oncology Group.

Education

Ms. Mellott received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a Social Work Concentration from Oglethorpe University and Master of Social Work with clinical focus from the University of Georgia.
