Biography

Biography

Kendelle Miller, MSW, LCSW, ACM-SW, provides clinical social work for patients of all cancer types and support for their caregivers at Emory Decatur Hospital. Ms. Miller brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and compassion to her work. She joined the social services team at Winship Cancer Institute in 2015.

Ms. Miller loves helping others and began her career in 1995 in Boston, Massachusetts as a mental health clinician providing therapy to people with various challenges. She coordinated a program providing crisis intervention and emotional support to children and adults impacted by trauma. In 2001, she relocated to Georgia with her family and began working as a nephrology social worker, helping, and supporting individuals with chronic kidney disease requiring dialysis or organ transplant. In 2008 and prior to joining Winship, she came on board Emory's Organ Transplant Service as a Liver and Renal Transplant Social Worker.

Education

Ms. Miller is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1993. She went on to earn a Master of Social Work degree in 1995 from New York University School of Social Work where she focused on behavioral health therapy.
