Kendelle Miller, LCSW, ACM joined the social services team at Winship in 2015. Ms. Miller provides clinical social work for patients with hematological malignancies and who are treated at the Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplant Center at Winship. She brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and compassion to her work.
Ms. Miller loves helping others and began her career in 1995 in Boston, Massachusetts as a mental health clinician providing therapy to people with various challenges, most closely working with those who had experienced trauma. She coordinated a program providing crisis intervention, support, and counseling to individuals and families impacted by the homicide of a loved one. In 2001, she relocated to Georgia with her family and began working as a nephrology social worker, helping and supporting individuals with chronic renal disease requiring dialysis. In 2008 and prior to joining Winship, she came on board with Emory's Organ Transplant Service as a Liver and Renal Transplant Social Worker.
Ms. Miller is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1993. She went on to earn a Master of Social Work degree in 1995 from New York University School of Social Work where she focused on behavorial health therapy.
