As part of her master's program, Ms. Mullins' internships included the Alzheimer's Association, Georgia Chapter where she educated and provided assistance to families and individuals dealing with Alzheimer's, as well as educating community members. She also interned for a year at Families First where she provided counseling to individuals and couples. She has worked as a hospice social worker providing support to individuals and families facing end of life issues. During her years working at hospice, she became increasingly interested in grief and loss issues. Ms. Mullins is certified by the Board of Oncology Social Work Certification.
At Winship, Ms. Mullins works with the Bone Marrow Transplant team, the hematology (leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma) teams and their patients.
Ms. Mullins obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Spelman College and earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia.
