Biography

A Certified Clinical Research Nurse and Oncology Certified Nurse, Catherine Sharp, RN, MN, joined Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University in 2011. She serves as the Assistant Director of the Clinical Trials Research Staff at the Clifton Campus. She previously served as a Clinical Research Nurse IV, Supervisor and Team Lead of the Multiple Myeloma Team. She has over 30 years of nursing experience.

Ms. Sharp is a member of multiple professional organizations including Oncology Nurses Association, Metro Atlanta Oncology Nurses Association, International Myeloma Foundation and Society of Clinical Research Associates. She serves on the Oncology Nurse Committee for ECOG-ACRIN and is the Multiple Myeloma Oncology Nurse liaison for ECOG-ACRIN. She was named the Clinical Research Staff Member of the Year in 2013 by the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology, and received the Emory University School of Medicine Exceptional Patient Care award from Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University in 2012. She was the 2016 recipient of the Robert L. "Bobby" Rearden Spirit of Winship Award.

Education

Ms. Sharp received her Bachelor's degree in nursing from St. Catherine University and a Master of Nursing from UCLA in Los Angeles, California.
