Biography

Daniel "Danny" Whitfield is an ordained minister and serves as Resident Chaplain at Emory University Hospital and at Winship Cancer Institute where he provides spiritual care for patients, families and staff in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He provides help and support to a diversity of people. Such help focuses on the emotional or spiritual adjustments to illness or on an individual's search for meaning and purpose during their difficult time.

Rev. Whitfield is an Associate Minister of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Tallahassee, Florida. He is a retired educator and school administrator with thirty-four years of experience.

Education

Rev. Whitfield graduated from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education and a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership. He is also a graduate of the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) of Atlanta, where he earned the Master of Divinity degree.
