Chao Zhang, PhD, is a Biostatistician Senior within the Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Shared Resource at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. Dr. Zhang has strong experience in SAS, R, and SPSS software skills. He collaborates with investigators at Winship to provide expertise in sample size calculation, power calculation, questionnaire design and data collection; and in test of significance and building models including GLM, mixed model, multilevel analysis, survival analysis, longitudinal data analysis, structure equation model, and high-throughput genetic data analysis.
Dr. Zhang obtained his PhD and his MS, both in Epidemiolgy and Health Statistics, from the Department of Medical Statistics in the School of Public Health at Southern Medical University in Guangzhou, China. He then received his MA in Mathematical Statistics from the Department of Mathematics and his MPH from the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health Science at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
