Research Focus Dr. Grossniklaus's research areas of interest are pathogenesis and control of metastatic melanoma from the eye to the liver and pathobiology of age-related macular degeneration, in particular, choroidal neovasculairzation.
Education Dr. Grossniklaus earned his Medical Degree from The Ohio State University. He then went on to complete his Internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He completed his Residency at Case Western Reserve University in Ophthalmology and Pathology. He conducted his Fellowship at the Wilmer Institute of Johns Hopkins University as well as at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology.
