Biography Dr. Read is a medical oncologist who cares for patients with gynecologic malignancies, brain tumors, sarcomas of soft tissue and bone and complicated skin cancers at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. He earned his medical degree at the University of Nebraska and completed his internal medicine residency and a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Washington University School of Medicine in St, Louis, MO. Dr Read was at the University of California San Diego between 2003 and 2011, relocating to Emory in November 2011.
Research Focus Dr. Read’s research focus is in phase 1-2 trials studying novel methods of cancer treatment. He has a particular interest in the repurposing of available drugs/treatments to serve new uses.
