CancerQuest was developed by Gregg Orloff, PhD, at Emory University. Dr. Orloff holds joint appointments in the Emory University Departments of Biology and Hematology and Medical Oncology.
Motivated by a personal cancer experience that revealed a void of easy to understand information about how cancer affects the body by interrupting normal function, he launched CancerQuest, a web-based, mulitimedia, educational experience, in 2002. CancerQuest is designed to explain the biology of cancer - what is happening in the body - in a way that helps individuals make important decisions about their own treatment.
Through the years he has involved patients, students, and colleagues across Emory to create videos and a comprehensive compilation of original and carefully referenced scientific literature about cancer.
The CancerQuest website is translated into six languages: Spanish, Russian, Traditional Mandarin and Simplified Mandarin Chinese, and Italian. We encourage you to explore the CancerQuest web site.
The videos above are available in DVD or CD format at no cost.
If you would like to receive a CD or DVD please send your mailing information to CancerQuest@emory.edu.
