Faculty and trainees from Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University and Emory University School of Medicine will lead sessions and present new research at the American Urological Association (AUA) Annual Meeting, in Washington, D.C., May 15-18.
The AUA Annual Meeting brings together urologists and other health professionals from around the world to share research, discuss clinical guidelines and explore advances in urologic medicine.
Winship and Emory’s clinical and research impact features throughout the program during plenary, podium, poster and forum sessions. Across 26 presentations, 18 Winship and Emory speakers will showcase novel therapeutics, surgical innovations, advanced diagnostics and imaging, and patient-centered approaches that are helping shape the future of urologic care.
“It’s rewarding to see so many members of our faculty and trainee community contributing to important scientific conversations at this year’s meeting,” says Chad W.M. Ritenour, MD, professor and chair of the Department of Urology at Emory University School of Medicine and the James C. Kennedy Professor in Prostate Health at Winship Cancer Institute. “We are grateful for the opportunity to share our work and to engage with peers who are equally committed to improving care for patients.”
