Ocular Melanoma Team

Although eye cancers are considered to be rare, they do occur.  Emory's Ocular Oncology Service, led by Hans Grossniklaus, MD, involves several specialists at the Emory Eye Center.  Chris Bergstrom, MD, evaluates adult tumors that occur inside the eye. G. Baker Hubbard, MD, sees children with cancers inside the eye, mostly a form referred to as Retinoblastom, the most common intraocular tumor in children.  The department chair, Dr. Timothy W. Olsen, has experience with both adults and children. The Ocular Oncology service includes the evaluation of extraocular tumors or orbital tumors (cancers around the eye) and this effort includes our oculoplastic surgeons Ted Wojno, MD, and Brent Hayek, MD.
