Social Services

Our oncology social workers can assist you by providing practical assistance, support, and individual, family and group counseling.

Coping with cancer can be a daunting experience. Illness and treatment may affect family life, functioning at work or school, financial stability or ability to plan for the future.

Our licensed oncology social workers are available to help you cope with your concerns. You and your loved ones may face periods of sadness or anxiety, and your relationships can become strained as you adjust to the ramifications of illness. Feeling "in control" may be a challenge. Our oncology social workers are attuned to these concerns and offer practical and emotional support for handling daily responsibilities, such as caring for children, managing the household, communicating with family, friends and coworkers.

Our oncology social workers provide practical assistance, support, and individual, family and group counseling. In addition, they facilitate support and educational programs and regularly provide referrals to community resources.

Before accessing psychiatric services, you must meet with a social worker if you are a new patient.

To visit with one of our social workers, contact (404) 778-1900 to make an appointment.
