Melanie Mowery
breast cancer survivor

"I would just want every single woman who goes through cancer to know there's a light at the end of the tunnel and that there can still be a fairy tale ending."

When Melanie Mowery was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer  —an aggressive form of the disease— while she was planning her wedding, she knew she wanted to start treatment right away. After seeking a second opinion at Emory, she chose Glenn Family Breast Center at Winship Cancer Institute for her care because of our advanced, multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Melanie is now happily married and cancer-free.
