Christen Chandler
breast cancer survivor

"The one thing that Dr. Meisel told me from the very beginning was, this is about maintaining my quality of life."

Christen Chandler went from being a nursing student at Emory University to also being a cancer patient after being diagnosed with estrogen-receptor (ER)-positive breast cancer. She started treatment with a nationally recognized cancer team offering the most advanced treatment including surgery and radiation.

Four and a half years into treatment, her cancer progressed and she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer.  Now, as a mother of a 2-year-old, she's not just living with this disease - Christen says she's doing really well and she's benefited from advances in cancer research made at the Glenn Family Breast Center at Winship Cancer Institute.
