Missy Roberts, MDiv, is a spiritual health clinician and fellow at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University (Clifton campus). Missy provides spiritual and emotional support to oncology patients and their caregivers. She is passionate about trauma-informed care and accompanying people through crises as well as empowering them to step into their authentic selves and draw upon their unique strengths and gifts. Missy is a candidate for ordination in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and has served in various multilingual, multicultural ministry contexts in Wisconsin, New Jersey and Puerto Rico.
Education
Missy earned her Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and completed her first chaplaincy training at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, where she fell in love with clinical pastoral education (CPE) and spiritual care in a hospital setting. She is thankful to have recently completed her chaplaincy residency at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System in South Carolina, where her learning centered around the Surgical Trauma Intensive Care, Neurological, and Behavioral Health units.
