Kate A. Yeager, PhD, RN, FAAN, is an associate professor at Emory University's Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing. Dr. Yeager is engaged in research on symptom management with an emphasis on pain management and a focus on underserved communities.
Education
Dr. Yeager earned a doctoral degree in nursing at the Emory University, a master's degree in nursing and oncology at the University of California San Francisco, and a bachelor's degree in nursing at Emory University.

Research
Currently, Dr. Yeager's program of research focuses on symptoms and self-management in advanced cancer. Other research interests include palliative care, end of life decision making, racial and ethnic disparities in cancer care, the role of race and poverty in health care delivery and health outcomes, and cultural humility in health care delivery.
In addition to her active research, she has co-authored over 30 manuscripts and four book chapters. She is on the editorial advisory board for Oncology Nursing News and frequently contributes to this publication.
