Fu Appointed Winship Partner in Research Endowed Chair

Congratulations to Winship investigator Haian Fu, PhD for being named the Winship Partner in Research Endowed Chair. A dedication ceremony to honor Fu took place February 23 with colleagues and friends in attendance. This endowed chair was established within Winship to support the overall achievements of Fu and his contributions to Winship, the Emory School of Medicine and Emory University. March Is National Nutrition Month

Bruner to Be Inducted Into Nursing Hall of Fame

Deborah Watkins Bruner, PhD will be inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International's Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame in Cape Town, South Africa in July. The International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame recognizes nurse researchers who have achieved significant and sustained national or international recognition and whose research has improved the nursing profession and the people it serves.

Call for Proposals
Winship is now accepting applications for the 2016 Nell W. and William S. Elkin Fellowship in Oncology and Chester P. Rochfort Scholarship in Oncology. Eligible applicants are MD-holders currently enrolled in fellowship programs within the Emory University School of Medicine or Rollins School of Public Health. Applications are due Friday, April 1. Winship to Host Neuroendocrine Tumor Regional Conference
Winship has partnered with the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (NANETS) and Emory School of Medicine for the 2016 NANETS Regional Conference, Saturday, March 19 at the Atlanta Buckhead Marriott Hotel. The program features a multidisciplinary lineup of Winship speakers including Drs. Bassel El-Rayes and David Kooby.
