Childress Named VP of Cancer Services
Melissa Childress, MBA is the new vice president of cancer services at Winship. Childress will be responsible for overseeing all cancer services across multiple hospitals within Emory Healthcare.

Edwards Named Director of Development
David Edwards, MBA has been named the new senior director of development for Winship. In this role, Edwards will lead a team that was responsible for raising more than $13 million in private donations in fiscal year 2015.

Flowers Elected to ASCI
Christopher R. Flowers, MD, director of the Lymphoma Program at Winship and associate professor of Hematology and Medical Oncology at the Emory School of Medicine, has been recommended for election to the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI). A formal induction ceremony will be held in April in Chicago.

New Infusion Center Opens Today
Winship infusion patients can receive their treatment and enjoy the view at the newly renovated Emory University Hospital Midtown Infusion Center. The center opens today (January 11) at its new location on the 16th floor of the Medical Office Tower at Emory University Hospital Midtown.
 
 
 

Winship Adopt-A-Family

Thank you to all the faculty, staff and volunteers who generously participated in this year's Adopt-A-Family program, which helped 51 Winship patients and their families (204 individuals total) fulfill their holiday wish lists. An estimated $28,276 in presents and gift cards were purchased for families who qualified for this need-based program.
