Winship Multiple Myeloma Study in The Lancet

A landmark Phase II study led by Winship and instrumental in the recent approval of a new multiple myeloma treatment was published online in The Lancet, one of the oldest and most prestigious medical journals in the world. Winship Chief Medical Officer and multiple myeloma expert Sagar Lonial, MD was lead author on the paper, "Single-agent Daratumumab in Heavily Pretreated Patients With Multiple Myeloma: An Open-label, International, Multicentre Phase 2 Trial."

New Findings for NSCLC Staging
Winship investigators have collaborated on a new study, "Nodal upstaging is more common with thoracotomy than with VATS during lobectomy for early-stage lung cancer: an analysis from the National Cancer Data Base," recently published in the Journal of Thoracic Oncology.

Charles Harris Run for Leukemia
The 36th Annual Charles Harris Run for Leukemia is scheduled for Saturday, February 27 at Tucker High School. The 10K honors the late Dr. Charles E. Harris - an all-star football player, awarded "unsung All American" honors at the University of Georgia before playing at the professional level - who lost his life to leukemia.
