Claire E. Sterk, PhD, who currently serves as provost and executive vice president for academic affairs, has been named the 20th president of Emory University.

Marcus, Gillespie Awarded NIH Grant for Education Program

Winship researchers Adam Marcus, PhD and Theresa Gillespie, PhD are the recipients of an R25 Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) from the National Institutes of Health. The five-year award, totaling nearly $1.2 million, will create the Center for Advancing Health and Diversity through Citizen Science.

FDA Approves Emory-Developed Prostate Cancer Imaging Probe

A cancer imaging agent that was originally developed by Winship member Mark Goodman, PhD and colleagues was approved on May 27 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

NCI-MATCH Trial Enrolling at Winship

The NCI-MATCH phase II precision medicine cancer trial resumed patient enrollment on May 31 at Winship and at medical facilities across the country. The trial, which is testing genetic targets in tumors, paused in November 2015 for a planned scientific review.
