Marcus, Gillespie Awarded NIH Grant for Education Program

Winship researchers Adam Marcus, PhD and Theresa Gillespie, PhD are the recipients of an R25 Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) from the National Institutes of Health. The five-year award, totaling nearly $1.2 million, will create the Center for Advancing Health and Diversity through Citizen Science.

NCI-MATCH Trial Enrolling at Winship
The NCI-MATCH phase II precision medicine cancer trial resumed patient enrollment on May 31 at Winship and at medical facilities across the country. The trial, which is testing genetic targets in tumors, paused in November 2015 for a planned scientific review.
