Staley to Chair Vizient Steering Committee
Charles Staley, MD, Winship's chief quality officer, was named chair of the Vizient UHC Cancer Center Network Steering Committee, which oversees the newly created Vizient Cancer Network. Comprising approximately 125 U.S. cancer centers, the network was created to begin a national network to share ideas about improving the quality of cancer care.
 
 
 
     
 
 
Disease-Associated Mutations in Leukemia
Cheng-Kui Qu, MD, PhD and colleagues have gained new insight into the effect of bone marrow microenvironment mutations on leukemia progression in patients with Noonan syndrome. The findings, published in the journal Nature, identify CCL3 as a potential therapeutic target.
