Winship and Komen Collaborate to 'Educate, Empower, Engage'
The Glenn Family Breast Center at Winship and Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta hosted a conference for those impacted by breast cancer on October 15 at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital. The half-day program included presentations from Winship clinicians and staff about survivorship and mindfulness, clinical trials, screening recommendations, and nutrition.
 
  
Study Shows Increased Breast Cancer Health Disparities in Cities
Fox 5 News interviewed Winship surgical oncologist Sheryl Gabram-Mendola, MD, MBA about the increase in breast cancer mortality among African-American women in Atlanta. Grady's Avon Breast Center and Winship's Glenn Family Breast Center are leading efforts to improve outcomes.
