ASTRO Highlights Bruner Study

More than 20 Winship faculty and staff will present their research at the 2016 Annual Meeting of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) in Boston, September 25-28. Deborah W. Bruner, PhD, RN will present her NRG Oncology study, which was selected to be highlighted in the ASTRO press program.

Chen Receives Distinguished Alumni Award
Jing Chen, PD has received the 2016 Distinguished Alumnus Award from Laney Graduate School's Graduate Division of Biological and Biomedical Sciences (GDBBS). Chen will speak on Thursday, September 22 at 3pm in the Rita Anne Rollins room before the Annual GDBBS Awards Banquet.

Owonikoko to Speak at ATA Meeting
Taofeek Owonikoko, MD, PhD will deliver an oral presentation at the 86th annual American Thyroid Association (ATA) meeting in Denver this week. His topic: A 3-arm multicenter randomized phase II study of single agent, immediate and delayed combination of everolimus and pasireotide LAR in advanced thyroid cancer.

Countdown to Winship 5K

Less than two weeks to go until the 6th annual Winship Win the Fight 5K! The event will take place on October 1st at Emory's McDonough Field. Registration will close on Thursday, September 29 at 8am. Packet pick-up for teams and individuals will take place on Friday, September 30 from 10am - 6pm at the Dobbs University Center.
