College of American Pathologists Honors Brat

Daniel Brat, MD, PhD, director of Winship's Cancer Tissue and Pathology Shared Resource, received a lifetime achievement award on September 24 from the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the leading organization of board-certified pathologists. Brat received the award at the CAP annual meeting in Las Vegas.

Van Meir Receives Award for Brain Tumor Research
Winship Cancer Cell Biology Research Program leader Erwin Van Meir, PhD was honored with the Phil Jory Research Award from the Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation following the organization's annual 5K race on September 24. The foundation has supported Van Meir's lab and other researchers at Winship for 18 years.

Volunteer for the Winship 5K

Join the fun and volunteer at the Winship Win the Fight 5K! Volunteers are needed to distribute participant packets and t-shirts (Friday, September 30) and to serve as greeters, route monitors, and distribute food/water (Saturday, October 1). Contact DaVida Lee-Williams to sign up for a shift.
