The 13th Annual Conference of the Hematology/ Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA) was held March 29 to April 1 in Anaheim, Calif. R. Donald Harvey, PharmD and Rebecca Pentz, PhD led a panel discussion on ethics that addressed treatment access, palliative care, and vulnerable populations.

Lymphoma Specialists Present at Patient Workshop
The Lymphoma Research Foundation sponsored a patient education workshop in Atlanta on April 1. Workshop chair Christopher Flowers, MD was one of 12 Winship specialists who presented on current treatment options and strategies for living with lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia.

Call for Applications: Nursing Education Awards
Oncology nurses and nursing students are invited to apply for the Sabrina Williams Oncology Nursing Education Award and the Katie Ferraris Taylor Oncology Nursing Fund Award. The awards provide financial assistance for tuition, school-related expenses, and professional development activities. Applications are due April 16.

Students from accredited U.S. medical schools are eligible to apply for the Medical Student Scholars Program, a mentored scholarship award offered through Emory's Department of Radiation Oncology.
