The People Behind CCC

Part of the charge of an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center is to decrease cancer incidence and mortality in the community. Theresa Gillespie, PhD, BSN and Jessica Wells, PhD are two Winship researchers who are doing just that. The team is collaborating with clinical colleagues in rural southwest Georgia and hope one day to influence national guidelines on making cancer screenings routine for patients living with HIV.
