| | Hospital Tower Welcomes First Inpatient | The new Emory University Hospital Tower welcomed its first inpatient, Crystal McCollum, on Saturday, August 26. McCollum has a rare form of abdominal cancer. Cancer patients and bone marrow transplant patients, along with kidney, liver and pancreas transplant patients, will be cared for in the new 450,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility. The tower is expected to be fully operational by the end of October. |
