| | | Winship's new National Cancer Institute comprehensive cancer center designation is due in part to a senior leadership team led by Executive Director Walter J. Curran, Jr., MD. As part of the application, the cancer center director must be a highly qualified scientist and administrator with leadership experience and expertise appropriate for establishing a vision for the center, advancing scientific goals, and managing a complex organization. In his role, Curran is helping Winship tackle cancer from all angles.
