High-Stakes Superbowl for Winship

It was a heartbreaking outcome in Houston for Atlanta Falcons fans including those of us at Winship. Now, two of our leaders will make good on a friendly wager with New England Patriots fans from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. According to the terms of the wager, Walter J. Curran, Jr., MD and Sagar Lonial, MD will wear Patriots apparel in an upcoming social media post. We'll always rise up!

Winship Collaborates on National Study of Physical Activity
Winship investigators have received a six year, $13.6 million grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to map the molecular effects of physical activity. Drs. Dean Jones, Eric Ortlund, Nicholas Seyfried, Keith Wilkinson, and Zhaohui Qin will lead the project with faculty from Emory and Georgia Tech.

Feast of Words Celebrates Emory Authors, Editors
Winship oncologists Nabil Saba, MD and Bassel El-Rayes, MD, editors of a textbook on esophageal cancer, are being honored this afternoon at "A Feast of Words," celebrating Emory faculty who published books in the last year. A full list of the honorees will be released at the event.
