| | Khoury Honored by Cure CML Consortium | The Cure CML Consortium announced it will change its name to the Jean Khoury Cure CML Consortium after the beloved Winship hematologist who passed away May 22, 2017. Khoury was a founding member of the consortium, which focuses on improving outcomes for patients with chronic myeloid leukemia.

Sanda, MD, chair of Emory's Department of Urology and Winship prostate cancer specialist, led a study of biomarkers in urine that may help some men avoid having to undergo an unnecessary biopsy to detect a suspected prostate malignancy.
