Two New Species of Betatorqueviruses Identified
Winship cancer biologist Erwin Van Meir, PhD and collaborators from UCSF identified two new species of anellovirus from a patient with a skin melanoma that had metastasized to the brain. The research was recently published in Oncotarget.

Winship Staffer Deploys to Kuwait
Nadia King, a Winship patient services coordinator, is deploying to Kuwait next month for a nine-month tour as an Army specialist and combat medic. King will be working in a clinic that treats soldiers.
