Winship 5K on Pace to Raise Record Amount to Benefit Cancer Research

More than 3,400 runners and walkers helped to raise a record amount of money over the weekend for cancer research at Winship Cancer Institute. The 7th annual Winship Win the Fight 5K Run/Walk, held on Saturday, Oct. 14, brought in more than $932,000.

Winship's new National Cancer Institute comprehensive cancer center designation is due in part to the pharmacists and pharmacologists who are integral to multi-disciplinary clinical care and research at Winship. Winship In-Patient Units Hold Indoor 0.5K

Winship patients at Emory University Hospital, many of whom are recovering from surgery or a bone marrow transplant, participated in a 0.5K race on Oct. 10. Winship clinical teams, volunteers, and donors handed out medals and helped cheer them on.
