Blum Elected Co-Chair of NCI Lymphoma Steering Committee
Winship hematologist Kristie Blum, MD has been elected co-chair of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Lymphoma Steering Committee that helps evaluate, prioritize, and disseminate information about disease-specific trials within the National Clinical Trials Network.
 
 
 
     
 
 
New Study Evaluates Freezing Technique for Post-Mastectomy Breast Cancer Pain

Winship Experts Featured at World Conference on Lung Cancer
Drs. Suresh Ramalingam, Madhu Behera, Rathi Pillai, Taofeek Owonikoko, and Walter J. Curran, Jr. presented at the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) World Conference on Lung Cancer Oct. 14-18 in Yokohama, Japan. Owonikoko received the Heine H. Hansen Lectureship Award for his oral abstract.

The People Behind CCC

Winship's new National Cancer Institute comprehensive cancer center designation is due in part to researchers whose innovations strive to decrease cancer incidence and mortality rates in the cancer patients we treat and the communities we serve. The Breast Cancer Genetics Referral Screening Tool (B-RST), developed and validated by Cecelia A. Bellcross, PhD, MS, CGC, helps determine whether a patient may need genetic counseling and then possible testing for an inherited mutation in the BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes.
