Join us today at 4:30pm for a Winship Town Hall in the John H. Kauffman Auditorium (C5012, Winship 5th Floor). Walter J. Curran, Jr., MD and Winship leaders will present from 5-6pm with a reception before and after. The event will be streamed live for those unable to attend in person.

Winship Awarded ACS Institutional Research Grant Renewal
Winship's American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grant has been renewed for another three years at a level of $360,000. The grant, led by Paula Vertino, PhD, will fund up to four junior faculty proposals each year, including one focused on childhood cancers.

Winship Study Finds Massage Therapy Decreases Cancer-related Fatigue
A Winship clinical trial led by Mark Rapaport, MD found that massage therapy provided clinically significant benefit to breast cancer patients suffering from fatigue. The results of the study were published Oct. 17 in the journal Cancer.

Atlanta Lung Cancer Symposium Features Winship Experts
Co-chaired by Drs. Suresh Ramalingam and Taofeek Owonikoko, the Atlanta Lung Cancer Symposium will be held Nov. 4 at the Loews Hotel. International experts, including Walter J. Curran, Jr., Fadlo R. Khuri, and Kristin Higgins, will present the latest approaches for managing lung cancer.
