Szabo Kicks Off 'Walk with a Doc' Program
Stephen Szabo, MD, Winship director of community oncology, is the inaugural 'Walk with a Doc' physician this Saturday, September 9, at Dunwoody's Brook Run Park. Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital has partnered with the City of Dunwoody to offer a free monthly walk event to encourage healthy lifestyle practices.

The People Behind CCC

Winship's new NCI comprehensive cancer center designation is due in part to the work of Winship genetic counselors Christine Tallo, Christine Stanislaw, and Fabienne Ehivet, who provide guidance to families about their risk for hereditary cancer and make recommendations for genetic testing and medical management. Genetic counseling is now being offered to Winship patients at Emory Johns Creek Hospital.

Applause for First Inpatients in New Hospital Tower
Crystal McCollum was the very first inpatient at Emory University Hospital Tower on August 26. Since then, 34 patients from two floors of the current Emory University Hospital were all moved to one unit in the new tower.
